Strap it on
Fit it over the center console and tighten the straps so it sits snug and level.
Clip, then drive
Clip your dog's harness to the seat's tether so they stay in their spot. Never attach it to a collar.

Will my dog actually stay in it?
Most lap-climbers climb because they want to be close to you, and this seat keeps them right beside you. Some dogs try to climb out of habit for the first few drives. A calm hand on their back and short, easy drives help them settle in. Always use the harness tether.
